Lap Timing

GKR will be using LiveTime RC software and an AMB RC4 decoder with the latest firmware (old rectangle and clone (MRT) transponders will not work).
Competitors are to supply their own transponders and are responsible for ensuring the details are supplied correctly and that their transponder is in working condition.

We will not be responsible for any issues with driver’s personal transponders.

Marshalling

Competitors are required to marshal the race immediately following their own race, unless physically disabled or they are in back-to-back races. In these cases it is the competitor’s responsibility to appoint a substitute marshal. Failure to marshal or have a substitute marshal will result in your best race result being dropped.

Rules

It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure that their cars conform to the following rules:

1.    General

All races will start from the grid. There will be a maximum of 10 cars in a race. There will be a 10 second countdown followed by a random gap and you go on the sound of the tone.  Duration will be 5 minutes plus maximum of 45 seconds complete your last lap. During Qualifying your grid positions will be random in the first round and then sorted by race result in the previous round. All finals, you will start where you qualified.

2. Qualification and Finals Results

Qualifying

Results to be determined using IFMAR qualifying points system.  After each qualifying round, all drivers' times (total laps and overall time) across all heats in a class are merged into a single master leaderboard for that round. Points are then assigned based on position on that leaderboard. In the situation there is a tie, each drive will receive the same point score. Drivers drop their worst score i.e. best 2 of 3 qualifiers count. For a tie overall, first  take highest single-round finish, then it goes to single fastest round time of the 2 qualfiers that count for that driver.

Final results
Will be decided by a point system based on one (1) point for the winner of each final on down to twelve (12) points for the twelfth placed finisher in each separate final. The best two (2) of three (3) finishes will count. In the event of a tied position, the driver with the single best finishing position in either of the best two (2) finals that counted, will be awarded the tie, in the event of a continuing tie, then the laps and times from the best finishing position will be compared and the one with the fastest laps and time total will be awarded the tie. If still continuing, then times from the second best position will be compared.
